Orchid Festival at Fairchild, Miami

Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden’s signature event has been running for 16 years and features 10,000 orchid plants during its three-day fete. The marketplace is the place to be, but this event isn’t just about getting some amazing orchids. It’s a unique education opportunity, the chance to speak with horticulturalists, growers, florists and other orchid enthusiasts about this special plant. There’s a Stem Lab on site as well as learning stations to do just that. Don’t miss the food and drink vendors as you navigate the festival.

Epcot International Garden & Flower Festival, Orlando, Florida

We know, you don’t need another reason to go to the Happiest Place on Earth, but we’re giving you one anyway. Every May, this event literally transforms Epcot into a floral paradise with its elaborate topiary and flower sculptures (some of which are in the form of Disney characters). There are outdoor kitchens serving excellent fare as well as dozens of garden-related activities, parades and more. The best part? Disney’s horticulturalists are available for you to pick their brains, offering all kinds of information for green thumbs and those who aspire to be them.
