Send Flowers for Grandparents Day

Grandparents Day 2015 is September 13. In the busy day-to-day work of everyday life, it’s easy to overlook this important chance to honor your grandparents. Have you thought of what you will give? Trias Flowers, Weddings and Events makes it easy to honor your grandparents this fall.

The History of Grandparent’s Day

In 1973, Senator Jennings Randolph introduced a resolution in the US Senate to make a national holiday called Grandparent’s Day. The idea was to give children a chance to celebrate their grandparents or other important seniors in their lives, and the contributions they have made to history. The resolution bumped around in the congress for a while, but in February of 1977, it was introduced as a joint resolution. On August 3, 1978, President Jimmy Carter signed the proclamation, and Grandparent’s Day became an official holiday.

So why do we celebrate grandparent’s day? We celebrate it because grandparents are worth celebrating. Most kids and adults alike know how lucky they are to have their grandparents in their lives, and a day to celebrate them is certainly worth having.

Great Choices for Grandparent’s Day

Are you wondering what flowers would be the best option this Grandparent’s Day? Tria’s has numerous arrangements that will be loved by the recipient. One of the most popular is Tria’s Exclusive. This arrangement features hues of pink and purple in a beautiful, compact display that is ideal for a smaller home.

Maybe your goal this Grandparent’s Day is to simply say “I love you.” Red roses are the ideal choice for this. Red Roses Wave provides a unique twist on the classic red rose. This arrangement features 19 long stem roses, one white rose and beautiful green leaves to make an eye-catching bouquet.

Some grandparents appreciate arrangements of the edible variety instead of the floral variety. Consider a gourmet basket for your grandparent as you honor them on Grandparent’s Day. The Chocolates and Cookies Basket is a popular, and tasty, choice.

This Grandparent’s Day, take the time to show your appreciation to the older adult’s in your life. Whether your own grandparents or an adopted grandparent, flowers from Tria’s make an excellent way to do so.
